Empowering Deaf Young People to Thrive
At Deaf Connexions, we believe every young Deaf person deserves the chance to be confident, connected, and supported — in school, at home, and in the community.
We provide a range of youth-focused support, activities, and opportunities for Deaf and hard of hearing children and young people across Norfolk.

What We Offer
Youth Activities & Events
We run fun and inclusive events where Deaf young people can make friends, express themselves, and build confidence. Activities include:
- Social meet-ups and games nights
- Day trips and workshops
- Holiday clubs
- Creative sessions (arts, drama, crafts)
All our youth events are Deaf-friendly and led by staff who use BSL and understand Deaf culture.
Deaf Youth Voice
We give young people a platform to share their views, talk about what matters, and shape the services that affect them.
Through youth consultations and creative projects, we help amplify Deaf young people’s voices in schools, health services, and the wider community.
Education Support
We work with schools, colleges, and families to help ensure Deaf students feel included and supported in their learning. This can include:
- Support with transition from primary to secondary
- Awareness workshops for staff and peers
- Signposting to further education and careers support
Support for Families
We know that families play a big role in the lives of Deaf young people. We offer:
- Information and advice for parents and carers
- Family-friendly events
- Links to local and national Deaf organisations
