Rotary House for Deaf People

Independent Living with the Right Support

Founded in 1977, Rotary House provides safe, supported accommodation for individuals with any degree of hearing loss. It offers a vital bridge between living at home and independent living.

A staff member fluent in British Sign Language is available during the day, with emergency cover provided out of hours. Tenants can receive help with everyday tasks such as handling letters, forms, and phone calls.

Located in Norwich, Rotary House is a unique housing scheme designed specifically to meet the needs of the Deaf community.

Communal facilities include:

  • A shared lounge with free Wi-Fi, Freeview TV, pool table, and refreshments
  • Regular social events with the Tenants, often free or low-cost
  • A fully equipped laundry room
  • A large garden with seating and a large summer house for the use of tenants
  • All flats are fitted with flashing doorbells and fire alarms for your safety. Rent includes heating, water, and laundry use—tenants only pay Council Tax and electricity.
